For nearly seven decades, the Acme Kitchenette Corporation has been producing a full line of kitchen related appliances, including compact refrigerators. These cold food storage units are designed as a stand alone addition to almost any living space.
Consumers can choose from five or six cubic foot sizes as well as stainless steel, wood panels, or traditional white casing. Although Acme doesn’t currently produce a full sized refrigerator product, their mini refrigerators are ideal for dorm rooms, small living spaces, or as a spare refrigerator for beverages and snack foods.
The 5 cubic foot Acme compact refrigerator is equipped with a 21 pound capacity freezer compartment, interior lighting, two adjustable shelves, a manual defrost function, leveling legs, and a cushion mounted compressor. The 6 cubic foot model offers a 20 pound freezer capacity, deluxe crisper drawers, magnetic door gasket, automatic cycle defrost, dairy compartment, adjustable shelves, and reversible door hinges.
To expand its ability to provide reliable service to customers, Acme offers a one year product warranty on both refrigerator units and other kitchen related appliances. The purchase of a sealed refrigeration system includes an extended warranty.
Today, Acme Kitchenette Corporation is headquartered in Hudson, New York. The King Mini Kitchen Company has also joined the Acme Kitchenette family, offering replacement parts on many of the appliances manufactured by the corporation. This acquisition allows consumers to return to Acme for repair and maintenance as well as new appliance purchases.
Households in search of a complete compact kitchen makeover can find many compatible products among those offered by Acme Kitchenette Corporation. Unfortunately, no full size refrigeration units are currently available through either company. The corporation’s goal is to breathe new life into the concept of compact kitchens to help families save space in their home and live more comfortably in the process.
